Dress codes and uniforms can help reduce the potential for conflict by:
1. Reducing conflict stemming from socio-economic status, i.e., conflicts stemming from comments and personal attacks about who has better clothing and so on.
2. Reducing ways in which gang members can identify themselves which, in essence, is a form of intimidation and creates fear.
3. Reduces the risk of students being robbed to and from school, or for that matter in school, of expensive clothing, jewelry, etc.
4. In the case of uniforms, could help school administrators identify non-students, trespassers, and other visitors in the hallways who stand out in the crowd.

I think sports teams should be allowed, because thats the students opinion. However, if they come to school with 49er shoes, 49er socks,49er jackets, 49er shirt, 49er backpack, and 49er pants then they should be sent to the office to get a new pair of clothes.
if you like a team that much to wear a shirt supporting your team, go for it.
I think sports teams shirts should be allowed at school. I can see why the schools wouldn't want us to wear Bulldogs but we should be allowed to wear anything else.
Team shirts should be allowed at schools, they should just not allow shirts such as the fresno state bulldogs since it's also known as a gang, but other team shirts should be allowed.
i can see why they banned fresno state stuff, but we should be allowed to wear other teams.

I think that we should be allowed to wear sport teams at school, it's one way for express themselves.
I think that this rule a little extreme. i agree with daniel though, if they come to school with everything sport, they should call home for different clothes
i dont see what the problem with wearing sports teams is a big deal. unless the team is like known to be gang related or whatever. then i can see the problem

We should have the freedom of wearing what we want to wear to school. Were not hurting anyone, and if someone wants to root for their team by wearing a team shirt, why not?
This has to be the most stupid addition to our dress code. We should be able to wear what we want when it comes to sport teams
i think that wearing short teams doesnt matter. they dont represent anything so it is pointless to even have a rule against it.
i think only pittsburgh steelers jerseys should be worn. mainly because they are the best.
I think sports teams should be allowed. I mean, its not like everyone who wears sports stuff is in a gang. Its good for students get to support what they like and believe in, in this case, supporting a sports team.
I understand if a few teams aren't allowed like fresno state but with other teams I don't see a problem.

Sports team clothing should be admitted, it is not distracting.
Wearing sport shorts should be ok. However, i think that anything fresno state should not be allowed because of the gangs.
I think that the sports teams advertised on clothing should be ok. They shouldn't allow gang related colleges in the area but other teams should be ok

ok i will say it again I AM NOT A SPORTS FAN AT ALL BESIDES I HATE TEAMS TO MUCH TEAM HATEING SOMEONE THAT MADE THEM LOSE!!!that is why i stopped playing sports.
